UV LED nail lamp – how Dual LED works

Every nail lamp in this category works with Dual LED technology. The diodes emit light at two wavelengths, 365 nm and 405 nm, so one UV LED lamp cures gel polish, builder gel and other light-cured products. You do not need a separate UV lamp for builder gel and a separate LED lamp for gel polish.

Comparison of the lamps in our range

  • Glow 112 48W – 39 diodes, mirrored, removable magnetic base, 15, 30, 60 and 90 second timer, dimensions 214 × 193 × 87 mm.
  • Glow X 54W – 24 diodes, large electronic display, 10, 30, 60 and 99 second timer.
  • OCHO NAILS X13 65W – 36 diodes, mirrored base removed magnetically, 10, 30, 60 and 99 second timer, dimensions 21 × 21.5 × 9 cm.
  • Seashel 108W – 24 diodes, the highest lamp power in our range, 10, 30, 60 and 99 second timer.

All the models are suitable for manicures and pedicures, for work in a salon and at home.

What to look at when choosing a lamp for gel polish and builder gel

Lamp power and number of diodes

The power and the arrangement of the diodes affect how evenly the product cures. The more diodes, the fewer shaded spots in the chamber. The Glow 112 has 39 of them, and the OCHO NAILS X13 has 36. Power alone is no substitute for a good arrangement of diodes, so it is worth looking at both parameters.

Mirrored base

A mirrored base reflects light inside the lamp, so it also reaches the sides of the nail and hard-to-reach places. The Glow 112 and OCHO NAILS X13 models have one. In both, the base is attached magnetically: once it is removed, pedicures are more comfortable and it is easier to clean and disinfect the inside.

Low Heat Mode

Some products, especially builder gels, can cause a burning sensation while they cure. Low Heat mode increases the lamp's power gradually, which makes things more comfortable for your client. In the Glow X, OCHO NAILS X13 and Seashel lamps the mode works on the 99 second setting, and in the Glow 112 on the 90 second setting.

Motion sensor and timer

The motion sensor switches the lamp on by itself when you put a hand or foot inside, which makes work more comfortable for the nail stylist. The timer lets you match the curing time to the product, and the display shows the time elapsing. Always check the curing time in the description of the specific gel polish or builder gel.

A lamp for the salon or for home

A professional salon needs a lamp that will last through a whole day of work and suit gel polish manicures, builder gel work and pedicures. For nail stylists, a removable base is practical. For a gel polish manicure at home a simpler model is enough, for example the Glow X 54W. In the Glow X and Seashel lamps the light source has a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours. The Glow 112 and OCHO NAILS X13 lamps come with a 12-month warranty.

What else you will need at your desk

A lamp is one element of a nail desk. You will find the products to cure in the categories gel polish, base coats and top coats. To light your workspace there are manicure desk lamps, and we have gathered the other devices in the salon equipment category.
