Sterilisation Pouches

Products: 6

Sterilisation pouches are single-use packs made of medical-grade paper and film. Your tools go through the autoclave inside them and stay sterile until the next client. We stock self-sealing SALTEC pouches in packs of 200, in 6 sizes – from 57x100 mm for e-file bits to 140x260 mm for complete tool sets.

Sterilisation pouches for nail salon tools

Sterilising tools in an autoclave only makes sense if they stay protected until you use them. That is why, after washing and disinfection, tools are packed in sterilisation pouches: steam passes through the medical-grade paper, and the sealed pack protects the tools once they leave the autoclave. Your client sees you open a sterile pack in front of them – which builds trust in your salon.

How to choose the right pouch size

  • ♥ 57x100 mm pouches – e-file bits, attachments and small tips – the smallest accessories that often go into the autoclave.
  • ♥ 90x135 mm pouches – cuticle nippers, small scissors or a few e-file bits in one pack.
  • ♥ 70x230 mm pouches – long, narrow tools: double-ended cuticle pushers, tweezers, metal files and spatulas.
  • ♥ 90x230 mm pouches – nippers, scissors and cuticle pushers – one at a time or 2–3 tools per pouch. The size salons choose most often.
  • ♥ 100x260 mm pouches – a full manicure set for one client (nippers, scissors, pusher) and larger pedicure tools.
  • ♥ 140x260 mm pouches – complete tool sets, toenail nippers and larger pedicure tools – several pieces in one pack.

Tools should sit loosely in the pouch, with room to fold over the self-sealing strip. It is better to choose a slightly bigger size than to squeeze tools into a pouch that is too small.

How to sterilise tools in pouches

  • ♥ Wash and disinfect your tools (tool disinfection), clean them in an ultrasonic cleaner and dry them.
  • ♥ Put the tools in the pouch, peel off the protective tape, fold the strip along the perforation and press firmly.
  • ♥ Add a sterilisation indicator strip to the pack – it changes colour after a correct cycle.
  • ♥ After sterilisation, store the packs in a dry place away from sunlight, and open them only in front of your client.

All SALTEC pouches have a dual sterilisation indicator compliant with EN ISO 11140-1, 60 g/m² medical-grade paper compliant with EN 868, and are suitable for steam and ethylene oxide sterilisation.
