Sanding caps are replaceable caps that fit onto a mandrel – a stainless steel carrier mounted in an e-file. In this category you will find standard and mini sanding caps in 160 and 260 grit, in packs of 10 or 100 pcs, as well as 260 grit sanding pads for the cuticle pusher from the Master Mani line. Choose the grit and size to match your technique and the mandrel you own – mainly for manicure and, if needed, for pedicure too.

Sanding caps for mandrel – grit, size and pack
When choosing caps, look at three parameters that you will find in the name of every product:
- Grit – the caps come in 160 and 260. The higher the number, the finer the grit and the gentler the work, which is why 260 is used for precise work and subtle smoothing.
- Size – the range includes standard and mini caps. Match them to the mandrel you use.
- Pack – 10 pcs is a good choice for trying them out, and 100 pcs when you see many clients and need a stock.
Types of caps and pads in the range
Mini sanding caps for mandrel 260
Mini sanding caps for mandrel 260 – 100 pcs are disposable pink caps for gentle work on the nail plate and the skin around it. They level the nail surface before a nail set, help with nail fold care and remove light callused skin and dead skin. You can buy the same variant in a smaller pack – mini caps 260 – 10 pcs.
Mini sanding caps for mandrel 160
A lower grit number means a coarser grain. The range includes mini sanding caps for mandrel 160 – 100 pcs and a smaller pack of 10 pcs. You can check how to use them on the product pages.
Standard-size sanding caps for mandrel
Sanding caps for mandrel in 160 and 260, in packs of 10 and 100 pcs, are standard-size caps linked in the shop with the classic mandrel.
Cuticle pusher sanding pads
The category also includes 260 grit cuticle pusher sanding pads – 100 pcs from the Master Mani line. These are replaceable pads made for the cuticle pusher, not for the mandrel. A smaller pack of 10 pcs is also available.
Sanding caps for an e-file mandrel
A cap only works once it is fitted on a carrier. The stainless steel mandrel for sanding caps makes it easy and quick to fit the caps and holds them securely, and its excellent balance means vibration-free work. The smaller Mini Mandrel is made for mini caps. If you work with caps in both sizes, it is worth having both models at your nail desk. Each has a 2.35 mm (3/32") shank that fits the most popular e-files, and you can swap used sanding caps quickly and comfortably.
When to reach for sanding caps in everyday work
Mini 260 caps were designed for precise and safe work on the nail plate and the skin around it. They are good for levelling the nail surface and preparing it for a nail set, and for nail fold care, where a subtle, accurate finish matters. Simple fitting on the mandrel speeds up your work and shortens treatment time.
E-file caps are also a convenient solution when it comes to hygiene. With disposable caps every client gets a fresh one, and after the treatment you simply throw the used cap away and disinfect the mandrel. When choosing between a pack of 10 and 100 pcs, think about how many treatments you do and how often you want to restock.
Pedicure sanding caps – when Pododisc pads are the better choice
You can use sanding caps for pedicure, for example for gentle work on the nail folds around toenails. For work on the feet, however, Pododisc sanding pads work better. For manicure and pedicure treatments it is worth having both solutions and matching them to the area you are working on.
How to remove callused skin and prep the nail plate with sanding caps
- Put a new cap on a clean, disinfected mandrel and check that it sits firmly.
- Fix the mandrel in the handpiece and start working at low speed.
- Work with light pressure – the abrasive surface of the cap does the job without pressing down.
- Around the nail folds and the skin around the nail, guide the cap especially carefully and watch your client's reaction. Removing callused skin takes patience, not force.
- After the treatment, take the cap off, then clean and disinfect the mandrel itself.
