Nude gel polish – shades of beige, pink and brown

A nude colour is a shade close to the natural colour of the nail plate and skin. That is why the nude palette is so wide – every client has a different skin tone, and a well-chosen beige or soft pink visually lengthens the hand and gives nails a well-groomed look. In the NessaUV lac collection we have divided the nude shades into four groups.

Light beiges and creamy nudes

The most versatile colours, which suit every nail set: a warm creamy beige 610 Soft Cream, a classic, muted beige 608, a biscuit beige 803, a light beige with a hint of brown 820 Mokka and a cashmere beige 823, which works beautifully in business and bridal nail sets.

Beiges with pink – powdery and pink nudes

For clients who like the subtlety of a soft pink: a warm beige softened with a pink note 804, a dusty pink 810 that blends beige with a cool pink, a rosy beige 811, a salmon beige with a hint of pink 814 and a light, cool pink 936 with fine silvery reflections.

Coffee and caramel nude shades

Warm, smoky tones inspired by coffee with milk: a cocoa with milk with cool undertones 800, a caramel beige 801, café latte 812 and a smoky beige 815 Cappuccino. They suit both an everyday manicure and autumn–winter nail sets.

Brown nudes

Deeper shades for fans of warm colours: an earthy brown 807, a nutty brown 816 and a lipstick brown with a pink note 821, inspired by makeup classics.

How to match a beige gel polish to your client's hands

For fair skin with a cool, pink undertone, beiges with pink and cooler shades such as 800, 810 or 936 look best. For warm, olive or tanned skin, reach for caramel, creamy beige and coffee tones – 801, 610, 812 or 815. If your client is not sure, apply a colour sample to a tip and hold it against the nail in daylight. A nude shade should blend into the hand, not stand out from the skin.

Nail sets with nude gel polishes

Nude gel polish is the basis of a minimalist manicure, but also an ideal base for nail art. Thin lines with ArtNess paste, crystals and water decals look great on nude. With several shades from one group you can create a stylish ombre – every nail in a different tone of beige. Light beiges and powder pinks are a classic of bridal nail sets. For a natural French manicure, milky and semi-sheer gel polishes also work well. You will find more inspiration in our post on nude nails.

Application and curing time of nude gel polish

  • ♥ apply a gel polish base coat and cure it in the lamp
  • ♥ spread a thin layer of polish with smooth strokes from the base towards the free edge, avoiding contact with the skin
  • ♥ cure the colour: 120 seconds in a 36W UV lamp or 30 seconds in a 48W DUAL LED lamp
  • ♥ for full coverage, apply a second thin layer and cure again
  • ♥ seal the design with a top coat

Thanks to the high pigmentation, two thin layers are usually enough. That means faster work at the nail desk and a manicure that lasts, which your client will enjoy every day.

Nude gel polish – frequently asked questions

What does the colour nude mean? Nude shades are close to the natural colour of skin and the nail plate: beiges, powder pinks, caramel and light browns. A nude manicure looks elegant and natural.

How many layers of nude gel polish should I apply? Usually two thin layers. Light beiges applied very thinly may need a third to make the colour perfectly even.

How long should I cure nude gel polish? Cure each layer for 120 seconds in a 36W UV lamp or 30 seconds in a 48W DUAL LED lamp.

Which nude gel polish for a wedding? Light beiges and powder pinks are the most popular choices – for example 823, 814 or 936. They look good on their own or with delicate nail art.
