Pastel nails – spring and summer nail sets
Pastel nails are one of the most popular looks of spring. A "pastel rainbow" manicure, where every nail has a different pastel shade, is on trend, as are pastel French tips, soft ombre and floral nail art on a milky base. Pastels suit Easter and weddings, and in summer they look fresh on tanned hands. You will find more colours for the season in the spring gel polish category.
NessaUV lac pastel gel polish – coverage and wear
Every NessaUV lac pastel gel polish comes in an 8 ml bottle and has high pigmentation. Pastels are light colours, so it is best to build them up in thin layers – that way the shade is even, without streaks on the nail plate. The shaped brush makes it easy to apply right up to the cuticles, and with a base coat and top coat a gel polish manicure usually looks neat for 2–3 weeks.
Pastel gel polish – subtle everyday elegance
A pastel gel polish is a subtle colour that looks elegant at work and in everyday nail sets, too. Powder pinks and soft beiges are close to nude shades, so they suit clients who usually choose a natural manicure, while lavender, mint and blue add freshness to a nail set. Before applying colour, prepare the cuticles and matt the nail plate – light colours show every unevenness, so careful nail prep is the key to a streak-free result.
How to apply pastel gel polish
- ♥ apply a gel polish base coat and cure it in the lamp
- ♥ spread a thin layer of pastel and cure: 120 seconds in a 36W UV lamp or 30 seconds in a 48W DUAL LED lamp
- ♥ apply a second and, if needed, a third thin layer – pastels then reach full coverage
- ♥ seal the design with a top coat
