Roll of 100 pcs
Plastic or paper forms – what’s the difference?
A nail extension form provides support for the product where the natural nail plate ends. A paper form bends easily under the brush, while a plastic foil form holds its shape – it doesn’t fold over when you fit it, so it is easier to control the length of the extension and the C-curve comes out even.
- ♥ material: foil – stiffer than paper, doesn’t fold over,
- ♥ guide lines: for almond and square,
- ♥ transparent centre: lamp light cures the gel from underneath too,
- ♥ quantity: roll of 100 pcs, larger roll – plastic forms, 500 pcs
How to fit a nail form for extensions step by step
- ♥ prepare the nail plate according to the system you work with,
- ♥ peel the form off the roll, match the cut-out to the shape of the free edge and slide the form under the nail,
- ♥ press the sides of the form around the finger so that the form becomes an extension of the plate,
- ♥ build the shape using the guide lines – almond or square – with builder gel,
- ♥ cure the gel in the lamp, remove the form and refine the shape with a file.
You will find builder gels for working on forms in the builder gels category.
Nail forms or tips?
Forms, also called nail forms, are an alternative to tips – instead of a ready-made tip, you sculpt the length yourself, exactly as you planned with your client. A plastic form works well for salon nail sets: press it in under the free edge, build the extension, cure it in the lamp, and then finish the manicure with colour or leave the natural gel look.
Which roll and which type of forms to choose
A roll of 100 pcs is a good choice to start with, for learning or for occasional extensions. If you do nail extensions every day, a roll of 500 pcs will be more convenient. In the nail forms for extensions category you will also find plastic modern, holo and aluminium-paper forms – each type in a roll of 100 or 500 pcs.
Are plastic forms suitable for gel?
Yes. The transparent centre of the form lets lamp light through, so the gel cures from underneath too.
How do plastic forms differ from paper ones?
They are made of foil, so they are stiffer than paper and don’t fold over when you fit the form.
What shapes can I build on these forms?
The form has guide lines for almond and square shapes.
How many forms are on a roll?
The roll contains 100 pcs. A roll of 500 pcs is also available.
