Opis produktu
OMGel Clear self-levelling nail gel – clear self-levelling builder gel
Clear is transparent and colourless. That means you can see the nail plate the whole time you work: its curves, the free edge and the place where you build the apex. The end result is natural – the nail looks cared for and strengthened, not “coated” in product.
OMGel Clear is a self-levelling builder gel in a colourless version. You can use this clear builder gel on its own or treat it as a structure gel: first you build the structure with it, then apply an OMGel colour on top.
Self-levelling gel in a bottle – a good nail gel for build-ups and nail extensions
OMGel is a gel – not an acrygel. It has medium hardness and self-levelling properties: thanks to the self-levelling formula it spreads across the nail after application and evens out small unevenness by itself, so you don’t have to level each layer by hand. It leaves a smooth surface, which means less filing and less dust at your nail desk.
The bottle format means easy application. You don’t scoop gel from a jar or switch tools – you unscrew the cap and start working straight away. This gel suits strengthening the natural nail plate, infills and extensions on a form when a client wants to add a little length. If you’re planning strong, long extensions, choose a classic builder gel in a jar.
After curing, a sticky (inhibition) layer is left on the surface – wipe it off with a nail cleanser before you move on to filing and the rest of the nail set.
Nail set step by step with OMGel Clear gel
Start by prepping the nail plate: work on it and remove all the dust thoroughly. Then degrease the nail with Nail Fresh nail dehydrator and apply SuperBond, which gives better adhesion for the following layers. Next comes a thin layer of Thin Base 2.0 base coat.
Now OMGel Clear. Apply the gel, give it a moment to spread, and shape the apex. Make sure the gel doesn’t run onto the cuticles – with a self-levelling consistency it’s better to add a second, thin layer than to apply one that’s too thick. For light extensions, build on a form and shape the nail straight away. Cure the gel in the lamp, wipe with a nail cleanser and refine the surface with a file.
Shaping nails with this gel is predictable: medium hardness gives a solid structure, and self-levelling makes it easier to keep a perfectly smooth line.
Clear under colour – Pink Sorbet, French and other OMGel shades
Clear is the base for the whole OMGel line. Build the structure with it, then apply colour – for example candy-pink OMGel Pink Sorbet for sweet nail sets or a cooler pink for soft French and baby boomer. Clear on its own works brilliantly in nail sets where a natural look matters: for a bare-nail manicure and under minimalist nail art. For infills, the transparent layer doesn’t stand out against the regrowth, so it’s easier to hide the line between old and new work.
Professional builder gel – self-levelling nail gel vs gel polish and builder gels for nails
In the industry this kind of product is also called a builder gel in a bottle. It differs from gel polish in that it builds structure – gel polish gives colour in a thin layer, while a builder gel strengthens the nail. It differs from classic builder gels in a jar in the way it’s applied: you work faster and more cleanly. It differs from liquid acrygel in its technology – acrygel combines gel with acrylic, while OMGel is pure gel.
Professional builder gels differ in hardness and thickness, and each builder gel suits slightly different work. Self-levelling nail gels make it easier to even out the surface, but they require you to control how much product you apply. The right gel depends on what the client needs: for strengthening the natural nail plate and gentle lengthening, OMGel’s medium hardness is a good compromise between rigidity and wearing comfort. If strong coverage matters to you, consider cover gels.
Nail gel for beginners? Yes – and for experienced stylists too
If you’re just starting out with gel nail sets, you’ll appreciate that the gel levels itself and the transparent colour lets you control the thickness of the layer. A self-levelling gel in a bottle also means fewer steps to remember when building nails.
An experienced nail stylist will appreciate the pace of work in the salon and the repeatable result. In training, the transparent gel helps students see how each layer spreads. How long a nail set lasts depends on how you prepare the nail plate and the order of products – with Nail Fresh, SuperBond and Thin Base 2.0, the whole system works together.
Questions from nail stylists and beginners – FAQ
Does OMGel Clear have a sticky (inhibition) layer?
Yes. Once the nail is out of the lamp, wipe it with a nail cleanser, e.g. the scented Angel Glow Cleanser.
Can it be used for nail extensions?
Yes, but lightly and only on a form. OMGel is mainly for build-ups, strengthening and infills.
What is the difference between 15 ml and 8 ml?
Volume only. OMGel Clear 8 ml is the smaller bottle – good for getting started, for training or for a set with other shades. The 15 ml version is the choice for everyday work with many clients.
