OMGel Vanilla Rose 15 ml builder gel in a bottle is a baby boomer gel in the role of a pink base: a warm pink with a subtle peach hint. It gives a soft, natural effect and looks especially lovely on warmer skin tones. Self-levelling and medium-hard, applied with a brush straight from the bottle – you will find the whole line in the builder gels in a bottle category.

Pink baby boomer gel – Vanilla Rose for the transition into white

In a baby boomer nail set, the pink at the nail base blends smoothly into white at the free edge, with no visible line. Vanilla Rose takes care of the first, pink part: it creates the background and structure, and you add the white separately, with the technique of your choice. This colour transition, also known as ombre, looks best when the pink is soft and natural – the warm, peach hint gives exactly that effect.

At the same time, you are strengthening the natural nail plate. The gel is suitable for building up and infills, so together with the colour you build the right structure of the nail. For baby boomer you can choose a snowy white or a creamier one – the decision depends on the effect you want to achieve.

Nail prep and gel for a baby boomer manicure

Start by shaping the nail and removing all the dust thoroughly. Degrease it with Nail Fresh dehydrator, then apply SuperBond and a thin layer of Thin Base 2.0 base coat. Apply Vanilla Rose straight from the bottle; leave a small gap at the nail folds so the self-levelling gel doesn’t flood the cuticles. While shaping the nail, let the gel flow for a moment, and do the precise finish at the nail folds with the brush.

After curing in an LED lamp – 30 s in a 48W DUAL LED lamp or 120 s in a 36W UV lamp – wipe the sticky (inhibition) layer with nail cleanser. For light extensions, work on a form or nail form.

OMGel – builder gel in a bottle, i.e. pure gel with no acrylic

It’s a different technology from liquid acrygel, which combines gel with acrylic. In practice, Vanilla Rose works as a coloured builder gel. The bottle itself is a more practical solution than an innovative one: you don’t scoop the product out of a pot, you apply it to the nail straight away.
