Opis produktu
Nail Fresh nail dehydrator 10 ml temporarily dehydrates the top layers of the nail and removes oily substances from it. You use it at the very start, before reaching for your nail set products, so the gel polish or gel manicure lasts longer. You'll find Nail Fresh alongside primers and SuperBond in the nail prep products category.
Preparing the nail plate – how does a dehydrator work?
A nail dehydrator is based on two solvents: acetone and isopropyl alcohol. Together they remove all kinds of oily substances from the surface of the nail and temporarily draw moisture out of its top layers. This degreaser prepares the nail plate for the nail set – the next products go onto a clean, dry surface.

Nail sets and adhesion – why dehydrate the nail?
Oily residue and moisture on the nail make it harder for the following layers to do their job. When the solvents in the dehydrator degrease the nail plate, the base and colour have better conditions to bond with the surface. The combination of two solvents gives you confidence in a long-lasting nail set – which is why the dehydrator is one of the first steps of a gel polish or gel manicure.
Bear in mind that Nail Fresh does not replace products designed to increase adhesion. Its role is to degrease and dehydrate, while extra reinforcement comes from other products in the same category.
Preparing nails for a manicure – how to use Nail Fresh?
Application is simple and only takes a moment. Work with your own technique, keeping a few rules in mind:
- prep and buff the nail, then remove the dust,
- apply Nail Fresh to the buffed nail plate,
- wait about 30 seconds until the product evaporates and the surface turns matte,
- only then move on to the next steps – this way the nail is dry and clean before you apply the base.
For wiping, it's handy to use lint-free non-woven pads – their dense structure means they don't fall apart and leave no dust on the nail. Soak a pad and thoroughly degrease each nail, starting around the nail folds.
Nail dehydrator vs acid and acid-free primer
A dehydrator and adhesion-boosting products work at different stages. Nail Fresh dehydrates and degreases, leaving a matte surface after about 30 seconds. Acid Free Primer, the acid-free option, brings the pH to neutral, creates a sticky layer and improves the adhesion of products to the natural nail plate. The acid version, in turn, etches and dries the surface – it contains methacrylic acid.
If you need a product that improves base adhesion in a different way, check out the SuperBond 10 ml bonder, which works like double-sided tape in liquid form. The right combination depends on the condition of your client's nails and the system you work with.
Who is Nail Fresh for?
The dehydrator is for professional use. It's ideal when you do gel polish or gel nail sets in the salon and long wear is your priority. The handy 10 ml bottle fits next to your nail cleanser and pads, so it's always within reach during a manicure.
