Opis produktu
First Step almond dual forms – what are top forms?
Dual forms, also called top forms, go on the nail from above: you put the product inside them and then press the whole thing onto the prepared nail plate. Classic nail forms have to be trimmed, fitted to the nail and set at the right angle – these are the stages where mistakes are easiest to make. First Step Almond simplifies the process. The forms are made of flexible, pliable plastic, which lets you pinch the C-curve with a pinching tool, and the ready-made almond shape means the nail has the right, ideal line from the start.
- Type: reusable upper forms (dual form).
- Shape: almond.
- Material: flexible, pliable plastic – you can pinch the C-curve with a pinching tool.
- Sizes: 10 in the pack, 120 pcs in total.
- Compatibility: gel and acrygel.
With First Step Almond forms, working on the first layer becomes more predictable. You don’t waste time trimming and repositioning a classic form, and you control the almond shape and length from the very start. This is especially valuable when you see several clients a day and care about repeatable, precise results and speed of work.
How to build a nail on a First Step Almond form – step by step
Choose one of the 10 sizes – the form should fit the natural nail plate closely. Plan the length of the extension using the guide lines spaced evenly on the form.
- Apply a building product, for example Dual AcrylicGel Natural acrygel 30 ml or a builder gel from your own system, and spread it evenly over the whole form.
- Press the form onto the prepared nail and pinch the C-curve, keeping the same order of movements on every finger.
- Cure in the lamp according to the product card, remove the form and move on to the next stage of the nail set.
- Refine the surface with a nail file – the e-file and other extra tools are now only needed for minor corrections to the shape of the nail set, so you can get to colour or nail art faster.
Excess product is easier to remove before curing. Flexible plastic forms, like other reusable accessories, should be cleaned and disinfected after each treatment with a liquid suitable for plastics, in line with the hygiene rules in your salon – that way their durability lets you do nail extensions for many clients.
Who are they for, and how do I choose a variant?
First Step Almond is a good fit for nail stylists who struggle with trimming classic nail forms, fitting them to the nail or getting the right angle. It’s also useful when you are learning nail extensions and want to limit the number of factors affecting the shape of the nail set, which is tailored to each client’s preferences. If you prefer to build a square nail, choose First Step Square. If you need an almond for avant-garde nail sets with a very deep C-curve, take a look at Modern Almond.
Dual, First Step, Modern – which forms and methods should you choose?
Choosing the right form depends on how you work. Top forms differ in whether the material is flexible or rigid and in the size of the C-curve – First Step forms are flexible, designed for different nail shapes, and you pinch them with a pinching tool. The first time you use them, it’s worth choosing the size on a dry fit and keeping the same order of movements on every finger so that all the nails look alike. 120 pieces in the case is a supply that lasts for many appointments. Working with dual forms saves time compared with classic nail forms that need trimming again and again, and the finish and durability of the nail set depend above all on how precisely the form and the product you fill it with fit together.
What is a skeleton extension?
It is the first stage of nail extensions. The skeleton sets the length and shape that the following layers of product rest on, and the First Step Almond form lets you build it straight away in an almond shape.
Are the forms compatible with acrygel?
Yes, they are compatible with the builder gel system, but also with acrygel. So you can work with the method you know best.
How many sizes are in the pack?
The pack contains 10 different sizes – 120 forms in total.
Do the forms need to be disinfected after every client?
Yes. As reusable forms, they need to be cleaned and disinfected with a plastics disinfectant after every treatment.
