Opis produktu
First Step square dual forms – what are top forms?
Dual forms, also called top forms, go on the nail from above: you put the product inside them and then press the whole thing onto the prepared plate. The name of the series says it all: first step is the first step of nail extensions, i.e. the nail skeleton. The forms are made of pliable, flexible plastic, which lets you pinch the C-curve with a pinching tool and give the extension the right, ideal curvature.
- Type: reusable upper forms (dual form).
- Shape: square.
- Material: pliable, flexible plastic – you can pinch the C-curve with a pinching tool.
- Sizes: 10 in the case, 120 pcs in total.
- Compatibility: gel and acrygel.
Why does the first layer matter so much? It sets the length, the shape of the free edge and the curvature of the C-curve that the whole nail set is built on. When the first layer is even, you apply the following layers of product more smoothly, and the nails on both hands look consistent. First Step Square forms make this stage easier and give you control over the size, length and pinching of the C-curve on a single, flexible form.
How to work with First Step Square forms – step by step
Choose the right form size for your client’s natural nail plate – the form should cover the plate from side to side. The lines on the form play the same role as the numbering on a standard bottom form (nail form) – they let you set the length of the nail exactly.
- Fill the form with a product, e.g. a builder gel or acrygel, and spread it evenly over the whole form.
- Press the form onto the prepared nail, using the same order of movements on every finger, and then pinch the C-curve. Pinching tools/clips, 5 pcs are handy at this stage and help you hold the curve.
- Cure in the lamp according to the product card, then remove the form and continue building the nail set – the e-file or nail file is only needed for minor corrections to the shape.
Excess product is easier to remove before curing. Flexible plastic forms, like other reusable accessories, should be cleaned and disinfected after each treatment with a liquid suitable for plastics – that way their durability lets you do nail extensions for many clients.
Who is First Step Square for?
The series is a good fit when you want to build a square nail faster and more confidently, without trimming classic nail forms. It will be appreciated by nail stylists who are only learning extensions as well as by experienced ones looking for a repeatable, precise result tailored to each client’s preferences. If you prefer almond, choose First Step Almond Dual Form, and if you want to build modern, avant-garde squares with a very deep C-curve, take a look at Modern Square.
Dual, First Step, Modern – which forms and methods should you choose?
Choosing the right form depends on how you work and the nail shape you want. Dual forms differ in whether the material is flexible or rigid – First Step forms are flexible, designed for different nail shapes, and you shape and pinch them with a pinching tool. The first time you use them, it’s worth choosing the form size on a dry fit. 120 pieces in the case is a supply that lasts for many appointments, and you can match the size to each client’s preferences. Working with dual forms saves time compared with classic nail forms that need trimming again and again, and the finish and durability of the nail set depend above all on how precisely the product and the form fit together.
What does the name First Step mean?
It is the first stage of nail extensions – building the skeleton, which these forms are designed for. The skeleton sets the length and shape that the following layers of product rest on.
