Opis produktu
Gel Removal Bit No.1 Rainbow is a rainbow-coloured gel removal bit that stands out from the other bits at your nail desk at first glance. It is made from high-quality tungsten carbide and can last for up to a year or more. It easily handles gel, gel polish and acrylic. Other models and colours are in the gel removal bits category.
What are gel removal bits and what makes the No.1 Rainbow special?
Gel removal bits are e-file bits with blades, and they are ideal for salon work. They take off cured product layer by layer. The Rainbow belongs to the No.1 family and is one of its colour variants. It's a gel removal bit that also works on acrylic and gel polish, and the blade is designed so that both right- and left-handed users can work with it comfortably. The rainbow colour isn't just for looks – it lets you tell your removal bit apart from your other bits straight away.

A tungsten carbide bit – where does the long lifespan come from?
In the industry, bits made from this material are called carbide bits. It's a hard material that stands up well to everyday work with product, which is why professional gel removal bits are so often made from it. In the Rainbow, the high quality of the carbide ensures a lifespan of up to a year or more. How long your bit actually lasts depends on the number of treatments, your technique and how you care for it – a blade that you don't force and don't expose to knocks keeps working evenly for longer.
Gel, acrylic and gel polish manicures – when to reach for a removal bit
The Rainbow is a versatile bit. In practice, this means one bit covers a client with gel extensions, someone with an acrylic nail set and a client who wears gel polish on their natural nails. You don't need to change the type of bit just because the next person in your diary has a different kind of nail set – simply match your pace to the thickness of the product. When removing gel polish, the layer is usually thinner than with gel or acrylic, so after just a few passes you're close to the natural nail plate and it's worth slowing down.
How to remove product with the Rainbow bit – quick and safe removal step by step
- Lock the bit in the e-file handpiece – it should spin without vibration.
- Remove product at half your e-file's power.
- Take off the layers of product with smooth movements, without pressing – let the blade do the work for you.
- Don't hold the bit in one place, as friction quickly heats up the nail plate.
- As you get closer to the natural nail plate, slow down and check how much product is left – this reduces the risk of damaging the plate and the cuticle area.
- Wear a mask and collect the fine dust as you go, e.g. with the Studio Air nail dust collector.
Well-chosen removal bits let you take off layers of product quickly and effectively, but it's your technique that decides whether you keep control as you get close to the natural nail plate.
Rainbow compared with other bits – ceramic, barrel and fir-tree
Choosing the right bit depends on what you're removing and which stage of the treatment you're at. If your client wears only gel polish, we recommend ceramic bits – the ceramic gel polish removal bit with a red band has a fine grit and very high resistance to heat, but it isn't suitable for gel or acrygel. For thicker nail sets, tungsten carbide bits such as the Rainbow work best. The No.3 fir-tree bit is handy for working on the underside of the nail, and during an infill the Dual bit precisely cleans the area where gel or acrygel meets the natural nail plate. If you're still learning to work with an e-file, consider the No.2 Cameleon barrel with its gentler blade.
Who is the Rainbow bit for and how to make use of its colour at the nail desk
The Rainbow is for nail stylists who remove different types of nail sets every day. The blade design works whichever hand you guide the bit with.
If you prefer a different colour, the same model comes in the standard version – Gel Removal Bit No.1 – or as the gold No.1 Gold bit. For professional use only.
How to care for your bits so they keep working evenly
Bits need proper care – how much of the stated lifespan you actually get depends largely on it. After every client, brush the dust off the head of the bit and remove any product residue from between the blades, then disinfect and sterilise the tool according to the procedures in your salon. Store clean bits separately from used ones and don't let them fall onto hard surfaces – a damaged blade works unevenly and can cause vibration.
Frequently asked questions
How is the Rainbow different from the standard No.1 and the Gold version?
The Rainbow is the rainbow colour variant of Bit No.1. All three versions remove gel, acrylic and gel polish and have a 2.35 mm shank – the main choice is the colour.
How long will the Rainbow bit last?
The material it's made from gives it a lifespan of up to a year or more. The real lifespan depends on the number of treatments, how hard you press and how regularly you clean it.
Can I use the Rainbow bit to remove gel polish only?
Yes, it's suitable for gel polish as well as for gel and acrylic. If your diary is mostly gel polish clients, you might also consider a fine-grit ceramic bit.
Will the Rainbow fit my e-file?
Yes, as long as your e-file takes a 2.35 mm (3/32") shank – the size used by the most popular e-files.
