Opis produktu
Precision scissors for nail forms – a professional nail styling tool
Ordinary scissors often need several cuts before you get the right curve. These were designed for one job: precisely adjusting the nail form so that it fits snugly under the free edge of the natural nail. The curved blades guide the cut along the arc, and precision from the first millimetre lets you shorten even a very small section.
- Shape: curved, non-standard.
- Material: stainless steel.
- Cut: from the first millimetre.
- Tip: curved – makes it easier to follow the planned line.
- Use: precise trimming of nail forms.
Nail forms – how to trim forms for nail extensions?
Hold the form against the client’s nail and check where it doesn’t sit flush with the nail plate or runs onto the skin. Take it off and trim those areas with short strokes, guiding the curved tip along the line you want to achieve. Place the form back on and check the fit – if needed, refine the outline with another gentle cut. This way you plan the length and shape of the extension accurately, and the form follows the shape of the client’s nail.
The scissors work well with products such as plastic nail forms modern 100 pcs., made of a film stiffer than paper. You’ll find the other extension forms – including aluminium-and-paper and holo ones – in the nail extension forms category.
Gel and acrygel nail extensions – the perfect result starts with a nail form
Whether you build the structure with a clear or milky builder gel, or with acrygel, a well-trimmed form makes it easier to apply the product and keep the shape symmetrical. If a gap is left between the form and the nail, the product can flow under it before curing in the UV/LED lamp, and corrections make the appointment longer. Precise cutting also saves material – a carefully fitted form needs replacing less often.
A precise trim matters especially for nail sets with a pronounced smile line, and a well-planned shape also affects how long the extension lasts. If you’d like to practise this technique, take a look at the guide Sculpted French – what is it and how do you do it?
Dual forms, also called top forms – when is there no need to trim the form?
The scissors are for nail forms, that is, forms placed under the free edge. Another method is dual forms, also called top forms – you build the extension inside the form and then press the form onto the nail. If trimming classic forms is difficult for you, take a look at the First Step series made of bendy, flexible plastic, which answers the problem of trimming and fitting. The two methods complement each other well, and the choice depends on your technique and the client’s preferences.
Nail forms at the salon and at home – who are these scissors for?
They’re a good fit for a nail stylist who regularly does extensions and wants to cut down the time spent fitting a nail form – both in a beauty salon and at home, when you’re just learning extensions. They’re also a practical addition to a set of accessories for extension manicures. To keep the blades precise for longer, use them only for cutting forms, and after work clean them and store them in a dry place.
Remember that this is a tool for nail forms, not for cuticles. For cuticle work, choose a separate model, e.g. cuticle scissors JN-24 21 mm. A perfect nail set depends on many small details – a well-trimmed form is one of them.
Julia Nessa scissors stand up well to disinfection and sterilisation.
What are the form-trimming scissors used for?
For precisely trimming nail forms, so that they fit the nail well and take the outline you’ve planned.

Why do they have a curved tip?
The curved tip makes it easier to give the nail form the planned shape, and the scissors cut from the very first millimetre.
