Nail extensions with gel step by step – your first nail set

Good adhesion is the foundation of a long-lasting nail set, so start with careful preparation:

1. Degrease and dehydrate the nail with Nail Fresh Dehydrator.
2. Apply a primer or SuperBond chosen for your client, then a base coat – and cure it.
3. Apply a thin layer of Tixy Cover Natural over the cured base coat.
4. Add the right amount of gel and spread it to create a perfect apex.
5. Put the brush down for a moment – the surface will smooth out.
6. Cure: 120 seconds in a 36W UV lamp or 60 seconds in a 48W DUAL LED lamp. Adjust the time to the power of your lamp.

A few tips to help you avoid common mistakes at the start:

• build gradually – it’s better to add another bead of gel than to apply too much at once,
• before putting your hand in the lamp, look at the structure from the side and check that the apex is in the right place,
• sculpt one nail at a time until you get a feel for how the material behaves,
• finally, gently refine the shape with a nail file – with a thixotropic gel you usually need only a few corrections.

You can leave the finished structure in beige or finish the manicure with colour, and choose nail art to match the design agreed with your client.

Small size – when does 15 ml make sense?

The 15 ml pack is a good choice when you are learning to build nails, testing a new shade on a few nail sets, or have many builder gels in your collection and use each one less often.
