Builder Gel in a Bottle for Nails

Products: 10

Builder gel in a bottle is a convenient form of builder gel: you apply it with a brush straight from the bottle, without picking product up from a jar. In this category you will find the OMGel line – a self-levelling builder gel in a bottle of medium hardness, created by a nail stylist for nail stylists. It works well for overlays and strengthening the nail plate, infills and light extensions on a form. Choose 8 ml or 15 ml and one of five shades – from transparent OMGel Clear to soft pinks.

Builder gel in a bottle – why choose bottled gels for nail sets?

Builder gel in a bottle is a builder gel packed in a bottle with a brush. It works like a UV builder gel – you cure it in the lamp and build the structure of the nail with it – but you apply it the way you apply a base coat or gel polish: unscrew the bottle, wipe the excess on the neck and start working on the nail plate straight away.

For nail stylists it is above all a time saver. You do not pick up product from a jar, you do not keep putting the brush down, and one bottle stays on your nail desk instead of a jar, a brush and wipes. With several clients a day, the difference really adds up.

OMGel combines the durability of classic builder gels with the convenience of application you know from a bottle. Thanks to the self-levelling formula, the gel spreads itself on the nail plate and leaves a smooth surface, so you spend less time levelling and then filing.

Builder in a bottle, bottle gel – what else is builder gel in a bottle called?

Nail stylists also call builder gel in a bottle a bottle gel or a builder bottle, and you will come across the term "builder in a bottle" as well. All these names describe the same type of product: a builder gel in a bottle that you apply directly with the brush from the packaging. If you are searching online for a nail gel in a bottle under any of these names – you are in the right place.

In practice OMGel is a gel, not a polish. It has a sticky (inhibition) layer, which you wipe off with a nail cleanser after curing, and it gives a structure that colour alone cannot build.

Builder gel in a bottle vs acrygel, jar gel and gel polish – what is the difference?

Builder gel in a bottle vs liquid acrygel. These are two different technologies. OMGel is a pure gel. Liquid acrygel (Liquid AcrylicGel) combines gel and acrylic, so it behaves differently and is worked differently. If you are looking for an acrygel in a bottle, go to the liquid acrygels category – that is where you will find this technology.

Builder gel in a bottle vs builder gel in a jar. Classic builder gels in a jar are picked up with a brush and transferred to the nail plate portion by portion. In a bottle the brush is part of the cap, so application is faster and cleaner. If you prefer the traditional form, check the builder gels in a jar.

Builder gel in a bottle vs gel polish. Gel polish gives colour in a thin layer. Builder gel in a bottle builds structure: it strengthens the natural nail plate, lets you shape the nail and extend it on a form.

Discover the OMGel shades – builder gel in a bottle from transparent to nude and a clean, minimalist look

Every OMGel shade has the same self-levelling formula of medium hardness – only the colour differs. We focus on natural colours that highlight the natural beauty of the hands and work well for everyday nail sets.

  • OMGel Clear – a transparent, colourless builder gel in a bottle that does not change the colour of the nail plate. You can use it on its own or as a structural layer under other OMGel colours. You can see the nail plate the whole time you work.
  • OMGel Pink Sorbet – a builder gel in a bottle in a pastel, candy shade of pink with a delicate purple note. It gives nails a fresh, feminine look; good for romantic nail sets, baby boomer and as a base colour under delicate nail art.
  • OMGel Rose Milkshake – a builder gel in a bottle in a soft, cooler pink with a subtle purple note. The name brings to mind a milkshake and captures its soft character. It goes beautifully with white, so it is a natural choice for a soft French and for baby boomer.
  • OMGel Silky Touch – a light, porcelain pink that beautifully highlights the natural look of the nails. It is the shade for a clean, minimalist look and the nude effect: well-kept, tidy nails without overdoing it. Use it on its own or as a base under minimalist nail art.
  • OMGel Vanilla Rose – a builder gel in a bottle in an elegant, warm pink with a subtle peach note. It gently highlights the natural tone of the hands, especially with warmer skin tones, and gives the nail set an elegant finish.

You can buy each shade in two sizes: 15 ml for regular work in the salon and a handy 8 ml bottle when you want to get to know the colour first or put together several shades. Both bottles contain the same formula.

Nail set with gel from a bottle – how to work step by step

  • Prepare the nail plate, and then remove the dust left after filing thoroughly.
  • Degrease the nail plate with the Nail Fresh nail dehydrator.
  • Apply SuperBond, which improves the adhesion of the following layers.
  • Apply a thin layer of Thin Base 2.0 gel polish base.
  • Apply OMGel with the brush straight from the bottle. Give the gel a moment to spread and shape the apex. For light extensions, work on a form.
  • Cure the gel: 120 s in a 36W UV lamp or 30 s in a 48W DUAL LED lamp.
  • Wipe off the sticky (inhibition) layer with a nail cleanser, e.g. Angel Glow scented nail cleanser. Then refine the shape with a nail file and move on to the rest of the manicure.

You will find the other products needed at every stage of work in the nail prep category.

Durability and convenience – who is builder gel in a bottle for?

Builder gel in a bottle is a good choice when a client has weak, thin nails and wants to strengthen them without a big change in length. An overlay on the natural nail plate makes the nail stiffer and less prone to mechanical damage in everyday life, and the durability of the nail set increases.

It also works well for infills – gel straight from the bottle is easy to add at the regrowth area – and when a client wants to add a little length. Just remember that OMGel is for light nail extensions on a form, not for very long structures.

If you are only starting to work with gels, the bottle format makes it easier to begin: thanks to the convenient application you focus on the shape, not on how much product to pick up. An experienced nail stylist, in turn, will appreciate the speed of work and the repeatable result on every client.

The ideal nail gel in a bottle – frequently asked questions

Is builder gel in a bottle the same as acrygel in a bottle?

No. OMGel is a pure gel, while liquid acrygel combines gel with acrylic. You apply both forms from a bottle, but they are different technologies.

Does builder gel in a bottle have a sticky layer?

Yes. After curing in the lamp, wipe the nail plate with a nail cleanser to remove the sticky layer.

Can I extend nails with builder gel in a bottle?

Yes, but only slightly and on a form. OMGel works best for strengthening nails, infills and a small extension of the nail plate.
